The Love Pomes
@thelovepomes is a social media project I’m working on with my friend John Jajeh. He, among other things, writes reviews for fruit-themed bands and I design the visuals that accompany them.
This process involves doing layout and photo-editing in Photoshop, keyframing in After Effects, and content scheduling on TikTok and Instagram.
And no, it’s not a typo! A pome is a type of fruit with seeds in the center, a tough membrane on the outside, and fleshy parts in-between.
And a poem is a...well, I think you know that one!
Ripeness Ranking System
Recently, I pitched an idea to John about adding more of a “hook” to our videos with a ranking system. In our meeting, we refined the idea further by creating a ranking system based on ripeness to fit our fruit theme.
These are the designs that I came up with to reflect that system.
